Online Support Autism

Nat is here to offer support, understanding, education and insight into the autistic perspective. Nat is autistic, and diagnosed ADHD, who has a BA Psychology and Postgrad Autism Studies.

An individual session with Nat will provide support, guidance, and help you answer many questions, including the following common questions:

I’ve received a diagnosis of autism…. and I feel overwhelmed!

I think I’m autistic, but I’m not sure?

I struggle with conversations / friendships / socialising … and I’m not sure why?

I’m looking to get an autism and / or ADHD diagnosis, but I don’t know where to start?

I’ve recently been diagnosed (autistic / ADHD) and want to learn some strategies / tips / techniques

These are common questions autistic women have.… you are not alone!

Nat is the founder of Au-some Women, autistic woman herself, & mother of 3 neurodiverse boys. She is also an experienced NDIS participant, who can provide guidance, reassurance and support to help your autistic journey just that little bit smoother.

Nat is a compassionate, understanding, and empathetic autistic woman who has a BA Psychology (Social Science) and a Postgrad Cert in Autism Studies.

Nat will make sure you finish a session feeling supported, with guidance to help you make sense of your diagnosis, together with more self-confidence. After her own autism diagnosis in early 2021, Nat has made it her mission to support other autistic women and families, because early diagnosis can help girls, teens and adults live a healthier, happier life, that can pave the way for more support eg disability support or the NDIS. More than this, an early diagnosis allows girls, teens and adults time to understand and learn more about what autism means to them and learn to love who are they are.

Topics of conversation may include (but not limited to):

• what ‘masking’ and ‘camouflaging’ is?

• autistic shutdown and burnout

• I’ve just received an autism diagnosis - now what?

• self-care - what/why/how

• identifying your strengths

• increasing your self-confidence

• Imposter syndrome - feeling like you can’t actually be autistic (but you are! Its just that we, autistic women, are excellent at masking and camouflaging)

• having an open discussion about anything related to neurodiversity and autism!

Au-some Women “Sunday Session”

Finding your tribe through connection and a felt sense of belonging

Autistic Women Support Group

No woman should have to feel isolated, alone or with no one to share their emotions and feelings surrounding a new autism diagnosis, or wondering if they are autistic, or neurodivergent.

Join a small group of women as we chat about all thing’s autism-and neurodiversity related… whether that be a new diagnosis, upcoming diagnosis, feelings of joy/sadness/frustration/reflection/contemplation…

Nat will facilitate the group sessions, focusing on our strengths, forming new connections, supporting you and hopefully providing a sense of how to move forward on your journey as a neurodivergent woman.

The Sunday Session provides a safe space to connect with other autistic and neurodivergent women, online, in the comfort of your home. You are welcome to use the chat box or turn your camera off if you wish.
