Nat is an AuDHD’er (autistic/ADHD), BA Psychology qualified, Grad Cert Autism qualified, trauma-informed practitioner, who is currently studying a Diploma of Counselling. Nat also has a mental health background, partially completing a Grad Cert Mental Health (unit: Mental Health across the Lifespan).

Working with families

Nat has worked with many families, providing support for both the autistic/ND young person, as well as the parents/caregivers. Nat works in a holistic manner, supporting all who are involved in the raising of the ND young person.

Nat brings with her lived experience of neurodivergence and works in a neurodiversity-affirming way. This means, Nat will support all involved, with respect, working from a strengths-based approach.

Working with schools

Nat also supports ND families in the school environment, and has attended school meetings, either in person or online. Transitioning into high school, or to a different school, can be difficult for neurodivergent students, as well as for the parents and caregivers! Navigating friendships, new environments, new teachers, often requires lots of support, planning and preparation. Nat has many resources and information for both schools and families.

Nat also has personally experienced her younger two neurodivergent sons struggle in the school environment (both at primary and high school). School avoidance, or school ‘cant’ puts a strain on both the child and parents/caregivers! Your child’s mental health and wellbeing is and should be the number #1 priority.
