The Mandurah ND Centre can provide support pre & post-diagnosis of autism and/or ADHD. We:
• specialise in autism and ADHD support (Nat Garmson has lived experience of Autistic/ADHD, including parenting neurodivergent sons who live with Tourette’s, anxiety, autism and ADHD)
• are non-judgmental in their approach
• will listen to you and your story, helping you to feel validated
• are affordable (and flexible with payment options)
• will help you to understand your autism or ADHD, in a way that is neuro-affirming and strengths-based
• can provide psychoeducational material, information and resources on autism, ADHD and neurodivergence
• have minimal wait times (only a couple of weeks)
• network with psychologists and other therapists/practitioners who may be able to provide you with an autism or ADHD diagnosis (please note: Nat is not a psychologist)
• are supportive and proactive in providing the help you may need to receive a diagnosis
• recognise that identifying as Autistic is acknowledging your brain difference; that we are not disordered
• have studied Mental Health at a post graduate level, as many autistic clients also live with mental health conditions (anxiety, depression…)
• may also provide screeners/questionnaires to help you in deciding whether you might be autistic
• understand that you may not necessarily require a counsellor or psychologist, that you may just want to understand your autism diagnosis, to feel more empowered and gain more self-awareness and insight!

Individual support may include
-
Art or Craft
Art or Craft may be incorporated into your individual sessions. Quite often, it is easier to talk when we are busy with our hands. Art n Craft sessions may be held at your house or at the Mandurah ND Centre in Lakelands.
-
Walk n Talk
Walk n Talk may look like a walk along the beach… or a stroll at your local park. Talking about your issues, such as mental health, or about autism, or your diagnosis, may feel more comfortable if your session is ‘out and about’
-
Nature Prescription
There are numerous studies that highlight the benefits of being ‘out in nature’. Nature prescriptions can improve our physical and mental health. So if you would prefer your session to be in ‘the great outdoors’, Nature’s prescription may be for you.
-
Traditional Therapy
Its okay to just want to sit and chat. Nat provides a safe space in her office (location - Lakelands) or offers a mobile service.
